Crooked Little Woods Garden Glass

Today I finished a little clay pot family for a couple with a little girl. Although I have said that I was not going to make glass garden flowers for awhile (I have been making a selling for 7 years), sometimes you find a special piece of glass and have the right pieces in stock to make it pop.....and then I just gotta make one more, lol. This one will find its home at our lake property! I am making flowers by request now and clay pot people will be a winter project. For now, it’s go to the lake and enjoy summer!

A few new flowers heading to Sandra’s Country Treasures, here in Berwick! The most satisfying part in the process of building these, is finding just the right centre to cover the bolt. I took 2 pictures of the third flower to demonstrate how the light reflects at different angles.

Three years ago we were still in BC......seems like a lifetime ago. So happy in our new community of Berwick, NS!

Sandra’s Country Treasures is a very eclectic and wonderful store! Lots to see....including my flowers, which are drilled and bolted (not glued) and come with a burnished copper stem.

A rainy day here in Berwick becomes a good day to create some glass blooms...soon to rival the springtime blooms!

Beginning May 1st I will be displaying my flowers at Sandra’s Country Treasures (4358 Highway 1, Berwick). Just in time for Mother’s Day! Here is a sample of what’s coming!

These two flowers found their way over to Sandra’s Country Treasures. The leaf contains a vintage egg cup in the centre. In the background you will see 2 faces of the clay pot people I am working on. The third picture is of the other clay pot people I am finishing.

Both of these flowers are sold....I will try to get 2 new ones out to Sandra’s Country Treasures by the next weekend. Have a nice long weekend all!

My very first clay pot people! Very time consuming to make, but a lot of fun. It was mostly trial and error....ok, a lot of error, but finally finished. Like my flowers, I hope they evolve, lol. These are not for sale, but as I get a few under my belt, I hope to have some good enough to add to our repertoire. For those who follow us on this Facebook page, you know we recently moved from BC to Berwick, Nova Scotia. My plan is to have a little she shed to decorate with weird and wonderful things and have a permanent place to display glass flowers, bird feeders and baths, solar lights and garden totems. These are all made from up-cycled, repurposed, recycled glass we find. As we are still (sigh) moving the last of our stuff here this summer, my dream of a she shed will probably not materialize until next summer. Stay tuned!

Sometimes I find AMAZING vintage glass that just beg me to create beautiful flowers. That’s what happened with these! From the deviled egg plate that glistens gold and purple to the beautiful milk glass.....these are heading to Sandra’s Country Treasures for the weekend.
