Jessie Diggins won the Tour de Ski today in Europe, the first North American ever to do so! Here's a little throwback... 9 years ago at the NorAm at Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club in Rossland BC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTC2SF4paF0
"Our volunteers go above and beyond. The cat suffered a major blow on Boxing Day, Saturday, at the worst possible time. We desperately needed a crucial part from Calgary. What to do? Chris Jones, one of our amazing volunteers who keeps our snow cat running, phoned Prinoth, the machine supplier on Saturday Boxing Day ... and through his personal relationships with the people at the company was able to get the part located and crated and out to Calgary airport on a flight the... morning of the 28th. Chris drove to Kelowna in time to pick up the part when the plane landed and was back at the trails by 1:15. The part was replaced in an hour and the Voss brothers were setting track by 3:00. Amazing! As Chris said, the stars aligned. But we think it wasn’t luck. Our guys are the stars that made it happen." ... At Overlander Ski Club in Kamloops. Photo: Don Garrish

"Nordic skiing is one of the few opportunities for people with disabilities to get out in the winter. ... Getting to come out here on a day like today, just to be here with friends, close to nature, it's just truly a special place to be." At Caledonia Nordic in City of Prince George. .... . .
