Big news... We are extremely proud to announce that CrossFit Connection is now an official club of the Ontario Functional Fitness Sport Association @ontario_functional_fitness ... This association is the provincial governing body for Ontario as part of @canadian_functional_fitness, which itself is associated with @internationalfunctionalfitness This move will allow our current and future athletes to have another route of competition in the world of functional fitness, with teens, masters, and open age divisions. At CFC we have developed a tight-knit community whose success and loyalty goes far beyond a brand and fitness methodology. We have changed physical health for the better, we have created lifelong friendships, and we've developed personal resiliency. Greg Glassman and CrossFit HQ did not do this for us. We, the members of CFC, the members of the greater CrossFit community, created a family, we did it together. As a result of recent events, we are currently re-evaluating our... affiliate status, and are monitoring the situation closely. We are not afraid to dissociate ourselves from a brand that doesn't align with our core values. We will fight for what is right and will always stand behind our community. To our members - we hear you, we support you, and we are listening. We promise to continue educating ourselves so that our family will continue to grow and our positive influence will have a greater impact on our community.

We didn't start this petition, however we are signing it. We opted to temporarily close our doors for the health & safety of our members. Obviously we don't want to rush to re-open until it is safe. However we also feel that we're able to put strict protocols in place for the health & safety of our members, including mapped out designated areas of floor space for each member in the facility, equipment for each member to not be shared during a class, strict cleaning procedur...es, etc. Sharing this petition that is going around to collection signatures to ask Doug Ford to consider opening functional fitness facilities sooner than facilities that are unable to put such protocols in place.
