Long post alert. Read it! Many of you know my story, that I was diagnosed with testicular cancer just over 3 years ago. Thanks to early detection I have a happy story to tell. With Movember upon us it is time to remind everyone out there, to get yourself checked by your family doctor if something isn't right. Keep nagging at those you love to go to the doctor.... This year the aspect of health we are focusing on is the conversation that is inside our heads. What are you telling yourself on a daily basis? What does your "inner coach" say to you while you're working out? These stories in our heads matter. We don't need to listen to non-stop criticism in our minds all day long. This is a HUGE struggle for me! You may see me as motivating, strong, and confident. We don't know what's really going on inside eachother's heads if we don't talk about it. So this month in class we are having a conversation about changing the narrative of that inner voice. #ConsistencyEffortTime
Our fitness classes are not a race. Finishing first, last, or somewhere in between is far less important than your consistency and your effort. You won't be holding up the class if you finish last or be forced to go at the pace of some ego driven instructor.
