Heres a common-sense, old-school food craving tip that works!!! Just because you have a craving, doesnt mean you have to give up on your goals you can use these tips to have the BEST of both! CRAVING PASTA? try the fiber/protein-rich varieties made out of lentils or chickpeas (these are surprisingly filling!!!!). ... OR, use spiralized veggie noodles they are literally everywhere now in the grocery stores, fresh and frozen. Tip: try using zucchini or eggplant slices in your lasagna. CRAVING ICE CREAM? try whipping up a frozen dessert bowl with 1 cup frozen berries and to cup of your favorite milk. Blend in scoop of your favorite protein powder for more oomph! Scientists think that playing the game distracted them long enough for cravings (which usually last just a short while) to pass. In a study published in the journal Appetite, college students who were having cravings either played a video game or waited for the computer to load. The bodys own detox system Im here to tell you to save you money! We tend to forget that the body is equipped with a detoxification system of its own, which includes the following:... The skin. The main function of the bodys largest organ is to provide a barrier against harmful substances, from bacteria and viruses to heavy metals and chemical toxins. The skin is a one-way defense system; toxins are not eliminated in perspiration. The respiratory system. Fine hairs inside the nose trap dirt and other large particles that may be inhaled. Smaller particles that make it to the lungs are expelled from the airways in mucus. The immune system. This exquisitely orchestrated network of cells and molecules is designed to recognize foreign substances and eliminate them from the body. Components of the immune system are at work in blood plasma, in lymph, and even in the small spaces between cells. The intestines. Peyers patches lymph nodes in the small intestine screen out parasites and other foreign substances before nutrients are absorbed into the blood from the colon. The liver. I DARE YOU TO TRY THIS AT ALL OF YOUR MEALS TODAY . its a lot harder than you might think!!! Its to SLOW DOWN when youre eating by at least 50%. Take your time and really CHEW your food. You get extra credit for turning off all distractions when youre eating, too no TV and no phone!... Studies show that people who say they eat fast gain weight over time and are more than 115% (!!!!) likely to become obese. Plus when you take your time to actually TASTE what youre eating, you get to enjoy it more, and your digestive system has a much easier time doing its job! Have you tried to stop touching your face and are shocked at how hard it is?!!! On average, people touch their faces as many as 23 times an hour! We all know we SHOULD stop doing it because it contributes big-time to spreading germs and viruses but why is it so hard to quit?... Its because for most of us, touching our face is a deeply ingrained habit that we use when were feeling certain emotions (embarrassed, worried, surprised, nervous) or if we have an itch or muscle tension. Because its so ingrained, it can be hard to recognize youre even DOING it! How can you stop a habit youre not even aware of? One of the things researchers suggest is NOTING when you touch your face, and if you have any particular triggers. Then, work from there to cut back. What else do the researchers recommend? Answer: Avoiding finger foods that you eat with your hands.
