This incredible young woman deserves a giant helping of gratitude. Thank you @izzyy_9 you have taken @24hoursofheroes and turned it up to eleven. With your vision and hard work you were able to take Heroes coast to coast. You saw the silver lining of our current global circumstance and leveraged it to give everyone exactly what they needed- a cause and community. Izzy is happiest when surrounded by puppies, donuts are her love language and her organizational skills are unmatched. Her heart is so big and she dreams of working with Veterans in her own clinic. CrossFit Strathroy is so excited to be hosting home base for this year’s virtual event. This year will look a little different than previous years with 8 workouts happening over 2 days-November 14-15th. @24hoursofheroes is a CrossFit event that raises money for @woundedwarriorscanada supporting veterans and first responders living with PTSD. We will be firing up the yoga studio starting Monday at 7:30pm with @iambriangroot Brian is a husband, father and ultra-distance runner, born, raised and once again living, in Strathroy, ON. Certified in India Brian has taught a variety of classes at Modo Yoga London between 2010 and 2018 as well as occasional classes in the community, at schools, and other studios in the area. He is always looking to learn more about the world and meet new people and is exci...ted to share the gift of yoga with his hometown community! Cass Stiller-Moldovan @cassandrasm will be joining the team as well. Cassandra has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. Hot off her certification in Bali (before COVID struck) she is excited to share her love of yoga with you! To ensure physical distancing classes will be limited to 5 people and you must preregister. Please extend a warm hello to our new Coach Erik. Erik reached out to us early on to express his enthusiasm for joining our community from the ground floor. It’s always been important to me (Cheri) to surround myself with people who I can learn from and Erik has a lot to teach. He has been coaching CrossFit and Olympic lifting for 5 years, has his CrossFit L2 certificate, his NCCP weightlifting L1, CrossFit weighlifting L1. He is an accomplished competitive lifter earning... the provincial championship title 3 times and a bronze medal at the national level. If you’ve signed up for the foundations sessions, Erik will be leading you through Day 4 that covers the Olympic lifts. You’re in good hands.
