Thank you to Once Upon A Child for this huge donation of baby clothes! Due to this and other generous donations our shelves are beautifully stocked and we are unable to accept donations of clothing at this time. We will keep you posted for when this changes! In the meantime we are still happy to receive baby equipment and diapers, especially the larger sizes. Thank you for continuing to partner with us in serving our community!
Bassinets are something that we give out frequently to our new moms and we have run out! If you or someone you know has a gently used bassinet that is no longer being used we would love to be able to pass it on to someone who needs it.
Merry Christmas! From the staff, volunteers, and board of directors at Crossroads Pregnancy Centre.

Happy Thanksgiving from the staff, board of directors and volunteers at Crossroads Pregnancy Centre!
We know this week may have been a challenge for some as children go back to school, some youth are launching their school year online and little ones are going back to daycare. New routines that include masks and physical distancing, can cause stress. Parents and caregivers, try to take some time for yourself this weekend - even if its a stop to pick up a special coffee/tea or a 20 minute walk on the beach.
5 containers of Good Start formula, Stage 2. Must go out this weekend! Expires September 11, 2020. Please pick up in donation bin at side of building. 1717 Kerrisdale Road, Nanaimo. Were here till 4:30 today: 250-716-1663

FUN FACT Did you know the Jolly Jumper, which many of us bounced in as babies, was invented by an Indigenous woman here in Canada? Olivia Poole was raised on th...e White Earth Reservation in Minnesota and was inspired by the traditional practice of using a bouncing cradleboard to soothe babies. In 1957, she patented her invention of the baby jumper, under the name Jolly Jumper, making her one of the first Indigenous women in Canada to patent and profit from an invention. Susan Olivia Davis Poole, inventor (born 1889 in Devils Lake, North Dakota; died 1975 in Ganges, BC). If you dont know, now you know. https://thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/olivia-poole

If you have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss, were here to listen. Please call 250-716-1633.
Instead of telling a woman what to do when she has an unexpected pregnancy, we need to first LISTEN and hear what she is experiencing, thinking, and feeling. If... you are willing to sit and listen, that communicates worth and value -- you are sending a message that SHE MATTERS. Listening and communicating value happens every day at our affiliated pregnancy care centres! They are a safe place. They are there to listen and support. Lets change how we respond to unexpected pregnancies. You can find a centre near you and more information on our website: https://pregnancycarecanada.ca/ #tuesdaythoughts #withyouforher #listentounderstand
