This year’s International Credit Union Day theme is Inspiring Hope for a Global Community. To celebrate this #ICUDay and #COOPWEEK, Crossroads staff wanted to recognize a local business/organization within their communities that made a significant impact during the current pandemic situation. Crossroads gave the staff an opportunity to choose a local organization that they would like us to make a $150 donation to on their behalf. Choosing only 1 organization/business i...n each community to recognize was a difficult task because we know so many have come together during this time to keep their communities safe and we salute you for that! Thank you! The Crossroads Canora branch staff want to recognize the members of the Canora Fire Department who got creative through the global pandemic and found ways to spread hope and joy within the community. By volunteering their personal time and resources, they surprised people on their birthdays including a visit to the lodge. Respecting the social distancing guidelines, they showed up with all the bells and whistles to lift spirits. They also made a heartfelt effort to make Easter as normal as possible by arranging an Easter Egg Hunt where households could travel around town together, following clues to collect treats. Thank you to the members of the Canora Fire Department for your commitment to our community! They have not yet chosen who they would like us to donate the $150 to, stay tuned. Love your community, love your Credit Union. #ourcommunitiesfirstbankingsecond #coopweek #ICUDay
