The CRA announced new extensions on tax payments and interest. The payment deadline for current year individual, corporate, and trust returns, including instalment payments has been extended to September 30 (originally September 1). Penalties will not be incurred if payment is made by the extended deadline. Interest accumulated on existing tax debts related to individual, corporate, and trust from April 1 to September 30 will be waived. BMW has signed a deal with Northvolt for 2 billion euros ($2.3 billion) to supply battery cells to power the automaker's electric vehicles.
