Mercury Parklane - redid the seats to original refurbished the door panels and carpet install
'50 Chev truck with full interior
Trans Am seats with custom embroidered logo
seats, door panels, kick panels, carpet interior floor and trunk with tire cover, and covered the supplied console in this '65 Dodge Valiant
So for this Cadillac coupe the unique carpet needed a heel pad. The details on how or what the pad looked like are somewhat vague so I did a styling take off from the clutch and brake pedals. Just a little something to keep the flow and make it look like it could have come from the factory this way. One off custom heel pad.
Up next is this big beast... a 1940 Cadillac 5 passenger coupe Series 75. Production numbers for this car model were only 12 made ( being a Fleetwood coach built )and this being one of 2 or 3 in existence. A lot of research has gone into figuring out how this car came from the Fleetwood factory, so I’ll give it my best go at putting it back the way it was. Stay tuned for update pictures as it progresses along...
Part 3 of more console madness. This console is for a 1952 Willy’s. If you scroll way down in my feed you’ll see the car in a post with concept drawings accompanying it. I changed to console insert to wood instead of aluminum so that it would tie the steering wheel together in the interior. Under the console lid are all the switches from the dash, giving the dash a clean smooth look just like the drawing indicates. There will be an added upper section that houses his iPad shortly. More pictures to come in the next while of the interior.
Part 2 of the console saga... This console was built for an older Dodge truck, and the top of the drink tray and console top are getting hydro dipped in a matching wood grain that surrounds the gauge cluster on the dash. The drink tray will have the edge left in aluminum so as to tie in with the gauge cluster trim. Stay tuned for the final update picture.
So in this instalment I’ll show off some console work that I have been doing in the later part of 2018. The first console was made for an early bronco to fit between the original bucket seats, and to have 4 cup holders for the gang when they’re out having fun.
Here’s a Ford Model A roadster pick up that I had in for a tuck n’ roll interior.
So as promised here are the follow-up pictures to the 1940 Chevrolet Master 85 coupe that I've finally finished up for the owner. This car came to me about 85% finished due to the company that was building it closing their doors. I took the car on for the owner to get everything finished that was not done (and fix other issues as well) plus give the car a personality. From adding different tires, colour coding the rims to match the interior, making the step plates for the run...ning boards, the custom luggage, the custom speaker grill and upper console grill, the under dash panels and console so that they looked like they are part of the dash, plus the whole interior, and plus a couple of pieces of hood trim as they had gone missing. I tried to keep the interior looking like something that maybe GM might have done for a deluxe interior. As much as I know that this car is the owners baby (he has had it since he was 18 going on 68) it has in a sense become mine as well, as I've put my heart and soul into making this car something that he could be proud to call his. Enjoy the pictures See more
Finally finished with this car So out to a couple of the show ‘n shine spots tonite to show it off and then the owner will becoming to get his baby. More pictures to come in the next few days
Video from Kustom Toyz as they apply hydrographics to one of two door panel inserts for a ‘70 mustang that I’m working on for Red Deer Speed and Custom
So I had the privilege of working on this 1951 Mercury truck for a great couple just north of me. Being there first hot rod I think they'll get lots of attention with this, enjoy.
A short while ago I re-did the seats for a Maserati Bi-Turbo that a client is restoring. They were a little rough to start with, but I got them back to the exact same way that they came from the factory when they were new. The owner was thrilled with how they turned out. I'll be doing some minor work on the door panels in awhile, but for now enjoy the pictures.
So I get an email this afternoon from the owner of the 1950 Nash that I did an interior for last year, and the car made the Hot Rod Network web site as Canada's Coolest 1950 Nash and even got the Builders Choice Award @ the Good-Guys Northwest Nationals in Spokane last year to boot. Congratulations Gord and Donna for allowing me to work on your car! http://www.hotrod.com/a/1950-airflyte-canadas-coolest-nash/
Thought I'd share a few pictures of a car that I've been working on, in no particular order, enjoy...
Well its been little while since I've posted anything so I'll leave you with a few pictures of a car that I did this spring. The car is a 1950 Nash Aeroflyte. The client wanted something that didn't overpower the overall look of the car, yet looked like it belonged there... So this is what I came up with, and he was more than pleased with the end result.
A little 5 bar detail action happening here... More to come...
Another part to the 40 Chev coupe is building a faux piece of luggage to hide the battery and fuel line and fittings, as well as a set of functional luggage to fill in the area behind the front bench seat. (This is a back seat delete business coupe model). I went with the styling cues from an original piece of luggage that I have and built the pieces from there.
So in the continuing saga of the '40 Chev coupe build I needed to build a console around the shifter and I wanted it to look like it flowed from the dash design. I'll get around to the panels that'll cover up the under side of the dash and continue to the console, trying to keep the lines flowing from top to bottom. For now here's a few build pics from Start to primer stage...
Seeing that it's been awhile since I've posted anything, I thought that I'd add a few things to show some of what's been happening. Earlier in the year I did a glide bench seat for a '54 Chev truck that would be coming thru the doors later in the year. So it finally came and I got it looked after and the client is having a blast with his new truck. This is a daily driver shop truck built to work hard and play hard as well, so he wanted the interior to be simple and reflect some of the original styling. Enjoy there's more to come...
So I wrapped up the rebuild of this seat for the '40 Chev coupe that I've been working on. Rebuilt the base and scrapped the springs in the bottom and backs for foam, and fit it to the client before covering. One more thing out of the way in this project. A quick steam to tighten up a couple of spots and it's good to go.
