Compassionate Resource Warehouse

ESQUIMALT warehouse will be CLOSED for Volunteers and donations March 10-11. EM Electrical will now to be at the Esquimalt warehouse Wednesday and Thursday - March 10-11 to upgrade the electrical and replace all the fixtures. This means that there will not be opportunity for our team members to work Wednesday as well as this means we are not taking any donations.... On Monday March 8th, we will be packing as much as possible and clearing all the aisles. The Electrician need to access all walkways and in-between all shelving units. For those of you who normally work Friday- I will keep you updated if anything is delayed or changes Donations will resume the week of March 15th. please call for an appointment. These are long awaited exciting changes! As one person said- this is so worth all the extra work of clearing my area!

BELARUS HOCKEY TOTALS As promised: here are the hockey equipment and jerseys totals that were sent on the load to Belarus this week Skates 173 pairs... Gloves 122 pairs Pants 114 pairs Shoulder Pads/Chest protectors 97 Shin Pads 95 pairs Helmets 96 Elbow Pads 87 Sticks 66 Goalie Pads & Goalie Sticks 8 of each Lots of socks Jerseys' - 858 Plus some boxes that were not counted when packed. Plus there were other sports equipment an balls sent so they can play other sports! Truly amazing. Now to wait with expectation for pictures!

Belarus Load was finished this afternoon. Amazingly smooth load today. Of course- 20 x 7 ft high pallets were premade - and all the topping boxes and hockey equipment were in place- just ready to be loaded.. There is an enormous amount of work that is done way before load day- but his new method of ours, means that load day is not soo stressful and generally moves quite quickly.... Just for fun, I will send out the hockey totals tomorrow . Thank you too all who came and worked today (some left before the final picture) Thank you to all the rest of you who packed and pulled and prepared equipment and boxes foor the load. Together our CRW team is amazing! You are loved and appreciated.

We are loading for BELARUS this Wednesday Our shipping forwarder was able to secure a fast booking for us this week. We have been waiting for bookings but due to the backlog at the ports, these are tough to obtain. But they kept persevering and today at noon they finally snagged one! This means a fast turn around for our local transport company- Comox Pacific Express- but they all worked hard! Everything was already palletized at the farm- and only needed us to do the final ...pull for "topping the pallets" this afternoon.. So pleased we are finally able to share all the wonderful hockey donations that have come in specifically for this load. Dave is standing in front of just one Team's jersey donations! (the Grizzles) Thank you to those who prepared the bike pallets, and picked up the chairs, tables and desks from SJ Willis. These are all waiting their turn to be loaded. Thank you to those who washed, sorted and packed all the hockey jerseys and gear- all done by colour and teams! Quite the process. Keep you posted with a few pictures of the load. So glad we are able to share!

THANK YOU CANADIAN TIRE We want to say a huge thank you to Kim Reynhoudt, the owner of the View Royal Canadian Tire, for his generosity in helping us get some great hockey equipment for Belarus! Today I picked up 13 helmets and 32 sticks which will soon be on the container and on the way to kids... who can't afford to get their own. Thanks as well to Nora, the Store Manager (shown in pic) and her team for getting all this together for us. We so appreciate partners like them that have generous hearts to help, and make it happen very quickly! Canadian Tire has been very generous to Youth Fro Christ Victoria and to CRW in the past, and they have carried on this generosity to the youth in Belarus! A big thanks to them again, and we look forward to seeing the pics come back of young Belarusians donning their new hockey gear! Dave Peacock
