Before and After. My favorite part of any project I do, is the transformation. I love to sit back and appreciate how a space has been changed. While organizing my home this week I came across treasures from my teen years. For an assignment for a computer class, we had to create a business card for ourselves. I chose to name my business Vanderhiem Interiors, I think I prefer Crystal Home Styling When I was a teen I wanted to be an Interior Decorator. It was my dream. I drew floor plans for fun. I had a scrapbook of my dream home complete with mood boards and floor plans. I LOVED walking through IKEA and dreaming... of all the rooms I could make. I made a design plan to redecorate my room and would endlessly move the furniture around to change things and make it work better. I loved coming up with new ways to set it up. I even sneakily redecorated parts of my parents home because I knew I could make it beautiful. My parents didn’t always agree. Now, furniture and decor often gets moved and changed in my home to make the most of a space or change the look. I’ve learned more about color and design and I’m still learning. I’m currently working on an Interior Decorating course with QC Design School and I am so excited to fulfill that dream from years ago. See more
