Everything from "grandmother moon" being turned into "the man in the moon", ... the feminine cycle being reduced to the menstrual cycle, which is not yet honoured for the power it stirs, mystery, intuition being regarded as "woo-woo" (feminine), as science and logic are praised as sound, receiving (feminine) being regarded as selfish indignity, where giving (masculine) is honoured, doing and producing (external, masculine) are praised, while being and resting (internal, feminine) are regarded as lazy, ... ...Is still just the tip of the iceberg. I mean, what on earth, even Friday 13th!? Just... Wow... Have you discovered other aspects of this as well? Leonard Shlain's (RIP) book, "The Alphabet versus the Goddess", was so eye-opening. Sooo late on this #Friday13th post, but how on fire is the #feminine!? Did You Know?... #Repost @kirsty_gallagher_ ... Divine Feminine Happy Friday the 13th! Long before this day became associated with superstition and bad luck it was considered the day of the goddess, a celebration of the divine feminine. This was a sacred day in which to honour the cycles of life; endings and beginnings, death and birth. This is especially powerful right now as we wane down to Sundays new moon in Scorpio, which is the sign of death and rebirth. This moon is going to ask you to allow parts of you and your life that you no longer need to gently die away, to allow you to rise in your power, reborn. The number 13 also holds a lot of power, being the number of lunar cycles in a year, and also the average number of cycles a woman has in a year. Women have, since the beginning of time, moved in cycle and sync with nature and this is a day to celebrate this and the feminine aspects of creation that surround us daily. That makes this a magical day for manifesting and connecting to the feminine energies within each one of us that creates and ‘births’ dreams and desires, projects, goals and all that we wish to bring into our lives. So use today to begin to feel into what your new moon intentions are going to be, and infuse them with some Friday the 13th sacred feminine creative energy and magic. Sunday’s new moon is going to bring a transformational turning point in this year and open up a new way forwards so it’s time to get very clear on what you want in your life.
