Too many have had to deal with cowards who sit behind their computers & spew hate. This has no place in our world, and no place online. Anthony Housefather, Ran...dall Garrison, Michal Cotler Wunsh, and I have a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re ready to lead the fight against online antisemitism. See more

Cannot believe it’s been a year already! To say my first year as a Member of Parliament has been different than most would be an understatement. Those writing t...he history books for 2020 will certainly have much to choose from when they put pen to paper. Sadly, those books will show that it has been a year of struggle and loss for so many. Not being able to see loved ones, losing a loved one, the loss of a job, having hours cut back, and being unable to celebrate important milestones with all our loved ones has taken its toll. When I put my name forward in the last election, I knew I was making a commitment to be there for my community, for better or for worse. I’ve been fighting to ensure our community and everyone in it can access the supports they need during this difficult time, including changes to CERB, CEWS, CEBA and so much more. In this difficult time, my office is always here to help in anyway we can, whether it’s answering your questions about federal programs, helping you navigate federal departments or advocating for changes in the House of Commons. Thank you so much to everyone who put their trust in me one year ago!

A year already since we painted our community a beautiful Tory blue! We are so thankful for all of those who supported our candidate and now MP, whether it was through volunteering your time, contributing financially, voting, or just lending words of encouragement. With the Liberals threatening an election, we need to be ready. If you haven't made a contribution yet this year, there's no better time than today. Check us out at https://www.csjah.ca/donate to help support our AMAZING MP!

This week 750 Canadians had to go home to their families worried about how they would put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. These workers face... an uncertain future as the jobs they are trained to do and have years of experience in are no longer available. They’ve stepped up for Canada, and it’s time their government stepped up for them. See more

#FBF to when we could gather for events held by Winnipeg Military Family Resource Centre. On today’s Military Family Appreciation Day, I am thinking of all our ...military families, the tragedies they have had to endure this year and the increased challenges they are facing. Behind every one of our brave men and women are family and friends supporting them every step of the way. Canadians are all so grateful for their sacrifices. Together We Stand Foundation

The St. James and Charleswood Legions are a pillar of our community. The government must be held accountable and deliver on their promise to support The Royal Canadian Legion - National Headquarters locations across the country who are struggling.

This should worry not just Finance officials but all Canadians Here’s why: When taking on debt, you often think about interest rates, cost of payments, and ...how you’ll pay for them. Our government should be no different. Right now, Canada’s interest rates on servicing the debt are low but still our payments cost just as much as supporting our healthcare system. As the debt continues to rise, so does the cost to service it. Adding on to this is the inevitable rise in rates, which economists say is a matter of when, not if. With one credit downgrade already and another on the horizon, Canadian taxpayers are looking at paying even more interest on this government’s out of control spending. Canadians don’t need more runaway deficits and ballooning debt servicing costs. They need a responsible plan from their government for how our economy will get back on track. Unfortunately, all signs are pointing to the Liberal government’s intention to keep the printing press going after 5 years of spending the cupboards bare when the times were good.

Today’s deadline for CEBA applications has been extended to October 31, 2020, and small businesses & sole proprietors who use a personal banking account will so...on be able to apply. While it is good to see the government finally listening to small business owners, it shouldn’t have taken months of pleas for help from them for these changes to happen.

Canada is still in the midst of a major health and economic crisis, and Opposition MPs have no way to hold the government accountable for the decisions and acti...ons they take. Hiding out for a month won’t solve the Liberals’ problems and, despite their efforts to shut down investigations into their actions in the WE Scandal, we will not stop trying to push for answers. Canadians continue to have serious questions about the Trudeau WE Scandal. On Finance Committee, we just received thousands of pages of documents as part of our investigation into what occurred. My Conservative colleagues and I want to continue asking questions on behalf of Canadians, but Justin Trudeau has shamefully shut down all functions of Parliament including ALL committee work. Check out the WE Scandal documents below and send your questions to me at [email protected] to help our team continue uncovering the details this Liberal government doesn’t want you to know.

Our MP Marty Morantz is always asking the tough questions on Finance Committee. Did the Liberals know that WE would be delivering the program on April 22 when they announced it? Or did the Prime Minister announce $9bil in spending without knowing how a big chunk of it was being delivered? Either way, something isn't right!
