Was visited recently by a long time client who works in the kitchen of a busy restaurant here in Victoria. On the left are the orthotics I made for them 20 years ago. On the right the fresh custom set they walked away with. Happy feet I am sure. Got me to thinking about how many orthotics I have made over the past 27 years. I have no idea! #orthothics #victoriabc #yyj #vancouverisland

Remembering this fine night filming "Shen & Xin" Seven works by Bill Goers, a short film produced by Andrew Naysmith @oakbayjohnny in October 2015. Song: Little Dog Mind by @twainband The materials are: cedar, cotton or hemp string, mulberry (rice) paper, and rice glue. The works have appeared in several galleries, artists lofts, private homes, and public spaces.... The works are intended to kinetically interact with light and space. Small air currents generated by viewers, ambient air flow, and changes in pressure and room temperature all contribute to their rotational movement and sway. #art #film #parallels #shortfilm #shinandxin #mulberrypaper #calligraphy #breezebrush

"Shen & Xin" Seven works by Bill Goers are featured in this short film produced by Andrew Naysmith. Much thanks to Graham McDonald. - Oak Bay Johnny Productions 2015 -... The materials are: cedar, cotton or hemp string, mulberry (rice) paper, and rice glue. The sizes: One piece is 32x32x48 and weighs 2lb. Two pieces are 22x22x36 each weighs 1 lb. Four pieces are 16x16x18 each weighs 8oz. They can be hung in either of two ways: either directly hung off of the ceiling, or suspended off of a bracket attached to the wall. Smaller pieces work well suspended off the wall, but the ceiling hang allows the greatest flexibility in placement. The works have appeared in several galleries, artists lofts, private homes, and public spaces. The works are intended to kinetically interact with light and space. Small air currents generated by viewers, ambient air flow, and changes in pressure and room temperature all contribute to their rotational movement and sway. )81cm x 81cm x 122cm454g )55cm x 55cm x 96cm907g )41cm x 41cm x 46cm

A view from the upper floor of our friend's home in central Tuscany. We had a delightful afternoon with Alberto and Elena, lunch at a tiny hill town and a tour of the oak forested, interspersed with vines and olives idyllic countryside.

I'm in Italy for the month of July with my wife and Granddaughter. The pictures are from Rome, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast. We are really relaxing into the culture as we adventure daily!
