As Recreation North's Learning Consultant and Lead Trainer, I am amazed at what I have learned about our the diversity across our country. Recreation is a uniquely personal experience - not only for individuals, families and neighbourhoods, but also for communities and regions. Wendy Giesbrecht of Boissevain, MB participated in a provincial pilot of the Recreation North Training Program and then carried on to earn her certificate in recreation leadership.... http://csparks.ca//people-are-the-added-value-in-recreati/
What is the best thing about being a Recreation North trainer...? The opportunity to learn so much from everyone taking the training.
Being a trainer for Recreation North is a humbling experience. It always amazes me how much I learn from participants such as Quentin.
I love living and working in the Yukon... and now I get to do so on Yukon Time! In the winter (as of November 1st), that means the 9 AM meeting requests from eastern Canada won't be quite so painful!
Way to go Teagan! You've offered some good advice for learning by distance.
So thrilled to be launching another Recreation North Training Program certificate next week! https://www.recnorth.ca//looking-forward-to-the-launch-of/
Having just had a birthday, and with our rapidly changing world, it's a good time to re-define financial health.
Congratulations to CPRA on launching The Bench. The opportunity to connect across the field of recreation is more important than ever. The Bench lets us put our heads together and come up with innovative strategies in these challenging times. https://csparks.ca/2020/07/21/networking-on-the-bench/
So thankful for the opportunities to work with all these amazing recreation leaders from across the three territories!

Why your bike is more valuable than toilet paper!
Working from home is my specialty, but I disagree with #8... Pajamas are the BEST home-office attire!
The ideas shared through Recreation North's training are so valuable and motivating. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1057712767948051&substory_index=0&id=464674557251878

It's been great working with the Carmacks Team!
And we learned a lot from Molly... Learning is a team effort!
Such a great group of recreation leaders and practitioners at this year's Recreation Gathering. Had a wonderful evening with the 'real' Russ Sheppard of #TheGrizzliesMovie - note the popcorn from Klondike Kettle Corn. Lots of fun dancing with Gurdeep Pandher of Yukon as well!
It's wonderful to be part of the Recreation North Training Program and to have the privilege of hearing from leaders all over the North. In Community Building, participants described the personality of their communities. I love this one... Can you guess which community?
Thanks to Canada's Arctic Journal | above&beyond from Recreation North for sharing our story... http://arcticjournal.ca//recreation-north-training-program/ Thank you to all who have participated and helped us get to this point. And thank you Arctic Inspiration Prize for believing in us!

30 minutes a day matters... how you do it, doesn't!
Love this! I learned from a special friend that 'the why' is so much more important than 'the what'...
Looking forward to the Arctic Inspiration Prize ceremony in #Whitehorse in February!
Sometimes it takes a while...like a year... but I finally got a bit of a website published! https://csparks.ca/
Such a wonderful opportunity to connect with people across the North... learning something new all the time!
