In the 6 weeks since the e-privacy directive took effect, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has seen a 51% DECREASE in reports of child sexua...l exploitation relating to the #EU. Without these reports, fewer children will be rescued from abusive situations. From John F Clark, CEO & President of NCMEC: "The current status enables offenders to exploit children in the EU without detection and condemns European children to silently suffer horrific exploitation while European law enforcement is blinded to their abuse."

Just a little reminder to everyone out there that this is the pecking order: 1. Premier of Ontario 2. Minister of Education 3. Deputy Minister of Education 4. Trustees ... 5. Directors 6. Superintendents 7. Principals 8. Vice Principals 9. Department Heads 10. Teachers 11. Students You have at least nine levels of hierarchy to talk to about this plan before you get to teachers. Many decisions dont make it past the fourth level. Most end at Level 2. Teachers have no say here, just as you do not. Please be kind to your childs teacher. Their heads are spinning. They chose 0% of this. But they will make it 150 times better than it was supposed to be. 300 times better if you support them. See more

#35YearsC3P As we worked to set up Cybertip.ca 20 yrs ago, we saw the need for a criminal code offence for those who use the internet to lure children for a sexual purpose. We worked with our Attorney General & legal experts across #Canada to advocate for a new law.
