Summer morning classes have ended, but we're still running all our evening and Saturday morning classes. Come join the fun! We will be closed this Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the Labour Day long weekend.

Morning classes are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, evening classes Monday through Friday.

We're back! We've had classes every evening since Tuesday, and it's been great! We will accept new students starting July 2. Call, text or email to make an appointment. Come join the fun!

Thank you to everyone who has been checking to see how we're doing and 'liking' our page! We'll be reopening next week, with a new layout to allow physical distancing and a class limit of 8 + 2 instructors. There's lots of room for that, and with outdoor warm-ups (when weather allows) and a new schedule, CTA is back! Check the website for the new schedule (to be posted Sunday). We'll be accepting new students starting July 2!

Are we ready? Almost! We will be limited to 10 people in each class (including instructors), so we have to revise the schedule to accommodate and change our space for physical distancing. Our goal is June 22. Check back later in the week!

How quickly things change! Yesterday we said we would be open for classes during March break, and today we are reversing that decision. Cleaning and disinfecting are all very well, but realistically, the MOST effective thing we can do to help stop the spread of COVID-19 is to CANCEL CLASSES immediately. With luck we'll be open again in a matter of weeks, but that will depend on many factors, most of which are beyond our control. Health care workers don't have the option of staying home, so let's all make their jobs as easy as possible by not getting or passing on this disease if we can help it. Stay healthy. Stay safe. Stay home, if you can.

Cambridge Taekwondo Academy will be open during March break for regular classes. We ask that all our students and their families take any illness seriously, and stay home if you feel the least bit sick. If you travel on March break, please follow the Public Health recommendation to self-isolate on your return. We ask that all students wash their hands before and after class, and bring their own, labelled water bottle to class, to avoid confusion. Warm-ups and classes will ...be modified to avoid physical contact and provide separation, Mats will be disinfected daily and commonly touched surfaces more often. We will monitor the COVID-19 situation in our area on a daily basis, and will provide immediate updates if a decision is made to discontinue classes. The goal is to keep everyone healthy and active, without taking undue risks. Stay healthy, stay safe.

We can't say enough about how important it is for kids to learn how to run, jump, throw, kick, hit, hop, catch, roll, and even fall. Movement should be fun, and body awareness is necessary for confident and effective movement. Get active, and join the kids in their games and activities; they'll enjoy them even more!
