**Manager Spotlight: Ryan Burch, Automotive** Q: How does it feel to be the Automotive manager of our Grande Prairie store? A: It’s great! This is the third Canadian Tire that I have worked for and it feels like this is home, I’ve learned so much from the management team and staff. The automotive field changes constantly so there is always something new to learn... Q: How did you first learn about Canadian Tire? A: Trips to the Tire at the start of every hockey season when I was a kid for new equipment. Skates and a stick were always a must-have every year. Then it was trips to Canadian Tire with Dad when he was working on the house! Q: Has there been a moment of your time working here that stands out as particularly special or exciting? A: There are too many to choose from. If I had to narrow it down, it would have to be after our first year in the new building when I was given the opportunity to create a new floor layout for Automotive Parts, we went ahead with the plan that I think has really added to the department. Q: What CT products are currently on your wishlist? A: More weights and equipment for the home gym,!I’ve been really lucky that our General Manager, Ron, has passed down some of his old equipment to me. I just want to keep adding to the dungeon. Q: Did you start working here as a manager? A: I started here as a key holder when my wife was hired on as the Automotive Parts manager, when she was asked to run Automotive Service I was asked to take on Automotive Parts which at the time was the one department I had only worked in for a bit prior to this. I thought it was a great way to challenge myself and learn another aspect of the store. Q: What is your favourite thing about being on Team Canadian Tire? A: Every day is different, some days I’m on the parts or service counter helping customers, the next week you’ll find me helping in another department merchandising for an upcoming season.
