Home Inspection Forensics - another happy Client! Not all inspectors are properly trained and certified or have the Forensic rated equipment necessary to reveal hidden challenges. Another example of the importance of having the right inspector in your home. This time Thermal Imaging reveals the presence of potential rodent nesting and tunneling in this restricted access attic space which must be evaluated by other experts. ... A little known fact is that Inspectors are not allowed to displace insulation during a home inspection or certify the absence of pests but properly trained persons with certified instrumentation can delineate areas that require further examination and evaluation. It is not about whether or not you get an inspection, but who is the person, what are their certifications, background, knowledge, experience and equipment. Lower end cheap thermal imagers that are not N.I.S.T rated do not have the ability to detect important challenges and just because that imager can't see the issues does not mean that they are not there!
