Just received this wonderful piece by Russell Yuristy. It's one of very few left over from a run he did years ago. A small reminder of the natural world at wor...k in the background - while the overwhelming, important and heavy human events concern us all today. Russell Yuristy Leaping Cottontail (black) Drypoint 4/5 2008 17X25 in. "Jack rabbits and Bush rabbits (Cottontail) were on our farm in Saskatchewan. I've always admired Jack rabbits for their speed, and Bush rabbits for their ability to hide and be still. Bush rabbits are very good to eat in summer or fall. I don't eat them any more, partly from guilt. In this picture I wanted to show how beautifully these animals move. When they scoot, they are up in the air quite a bit."
