CUBS ADVANCE TO LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Cubs faced the Giants this morning and came away with a 4-2 victory to seal their spot in the Baseball West Island Senior League B division championship. It was a hard fought game with the Cubs scoring early and pitching and defence keeping the game in the Cubs' favor. The Giants never gave up and gave the Cubs a run for their money. Next up for the Cubs is a best of three series against the East division champs, DBacks. Game 1 is sched...uled for tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm at Trudeau Park. GO CUBS GO!

Cubs stumble in division final. This afternoon, the Cubs faced a hungry Giants squad and fell short with a 9-5 loss. The league leaders only needed one win to advance to the league championship final, however struggled offensively and defensively and allowed the Giants a second chance to claim the West Division championship. Because the Giants won today, the Cubs will have to play them again in this double-elimination playoff format. Game 2 of the division final is scheduled... to take place next Saturday, September 26th, time and field TBD. The Cubs will have to win in order to continue their run for a championship. GO CUBS GO!

CUBS WIN GAME 2, ADVANCE TO DIVISION FINAL! On Tuesday night, September 15, 2020 at Trudeau Park in Cote St-Luc, the Cubs faced division rival, Giants in a pivotal division semi-final matchup. After the initial game was postponed due to inclement weather, the team was fired up and ready to face a team looking for their first win against the league leaders this year. The game featured an incredible duel between two very good pitchers. Solid defense all around was a key to the... game for both sides. In the end it was a solo home run that put the Cubs ahead in the 5th inning and added an insurance run in the 6th to seal the game for the Cubs. The Cubs managed to score 2 runs on 5 hits and shut out their opponent, allowing only 4 hits while striking out an incredible 13 batters in 7 innings of play. The team is well-positioned in these double-elimination playoffs and have yet to lose a game. We hope to see everyone there to cheer the team on as they push forward toward the championship series! CUBS WIN GAME 1!!! On Monday, the Cubs opened the 2020 playoffs against the 4th seed, Crush, and dominated their opponent with a 11-1 victory. The entire lineup got in on the action, scoring 11 runs on 12 hits and had great pitching to shut down the opposition. Cubs' next game will be an important one as the team will face a Giants team who is looking to take revenge after being swept in the season series. The Giants faced the Angels on Monday night and came away with 10-3 w...in. The next game is scheduled for Sunday, September 13th at 4 PM at Ballantyne Park in Dorval. GO CUBS GO!

CUBS FINISH 1ST IN WEST!!! As the 2020 regular season ended on the weekend, the Cubs won their 4th game in a row to finish the season with a 9-3 record, best in franchise history. The 2020 Baseball West Island Senior League senior B playoffs will be played with a two-division, four-team, double elimination format with the winners of the two divisions playing for the title at the end of the month. ... The Cubs will open the playoffs playing the 4th seed, Crush (1-11). In the two previous meetings between these clubs, the Cubs are 2-0. Game 1 is tonight at 7:30 at Trudeau Park. GO CUBS GO!
