CUE Books 19.11.2020

The launch will include a reading of less redacted versions of ten of the documents in the book and selected writing by social service personnel who authored the documents. Followed by open discussion. Volume one of Counter-Interpellation brings together Collected ... Evaluations 1975-1995, first published as a chapbook in 2000, with transcriptions of documents pertaining to birth and adoption, language acquisition, prevention of disease, control of migration, and medical diagnosis and treatment. Published by CUE Books (http://cuebooks.org). Aaron Vidaver edited Vancouver 1963 (on the poetry events of that year) and Woodsquat (on the housing occupation of 2002), produced the first guides to the archives of the VAG, VIVO, Western Front and Banff Centre, and, with Roger Farr, conducted a book-length interview with poet P. Inman, a different table altogether. Vidaver’s writing appears in Parser, estrus, Judy, 1 Cent, rout/e, Sibelia, XCP, Ecopoetics, Anarcho-Modernism, various Vancouver journals and chapbooks including, with David Fujino, Get Me off This / Situation. In 2015 he photographed the now-destroyed Dollarton assemblages by Al Neil and Carole Itter (https://www.flickr.com/photos/dollarton/albums).
