Happy Chinese New Year! I tried our version of Hot Pot for the first time in celebration! Yum

I've been missing my cousins lately so what better way to let them know then make them some Emoji cookies and drop them off to enjoy! What did my culinary friends get up to this past weekend?

Food Science! Using acid (vinegar) to eat away at the shell I turned a regular egg into a bouncy and squishy ball using Stephan Gates "Science You Can Eat" book. It was so cool to see the yolk roll around the inside with a flashlight!

Fun Fact: Today is the start of Black History Month. I was named after Carter G. Woodson, an American author who started the celebration of "Negro Heritage Week" in February 1926. Which would later become what we know today as Black History Month.
