One month today I returned from Palm Springs & Altitude Summit, brain full, iPhone full (of photos), creative juices flowing to the start of what we know now. Pandemic life. Unfortunately, all that energy from being away and taking classes was swiftly brushed to the side as homeschooling and isolating in place became the new norm. It’s taken us 3 weeks to adjust to whatever this is, while assuring the kids it’s going to be ok, we just need to follow the instructions from th...e legendary Dr. Hinshaw. School is starting to ramp up, I feel another steep learning curve is upon us. Kids will hopefully learn skills in self-learning and if not that, they’re certainly learning to tune me out more than usual. My hope after leaving Alt was that I’d be able to take the stuff I learned and apply it immediately, but now I’ve switched my thinking and view it as an opportunity to get away for a week, be in the sunshine (go away snow), see some cactuses and hang out with my friends Sarah (@modernrepeat on Instagram) & The DIY Mommy Very little content has been created since my return, but we did get my dog, who has cataracts, doggles and that has brought us immense joy over the last three weeks. Poor dog we can’t stop laughing at him and he hates it. Take a look at the last photo in this set to see the best content I’ve ever created. You’re welcome George

Well, it's been a week of catching up since Alberta Open Farm Days has ended! We've had the most amazing experience helping with the marketing for this province-wide event. From helping market a beer to visiting farms and holding a week old goat, and, planning a media event at the 124 Grand Market It's been a dream. We're not done yet! There's still lots to do to connect fellow urbanites with our rural neighbours and we're excited to carry on until Spring!

A little #TBT to last week for our big quarterly planning meeting for Alberta Mamas We took over a meeting room at @Roundhouse and it was unreal. Can we start with the lego board in the middle of the table, because there’s lego base in the middle of the table and a drawer full of lego to play with. And yes, anyone can rent a room and you should do this.

Happy International Women's Day to all my fellow femmes! Know that it’s important to keep telling your story, the world needs to hear it ...I never painted dreams. I painted my own reality. Frida Kahlo On the Alberta Mamas blog, I wrote a post about what to expect when you take on 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. It’s one of my favourite places to go when we are down there because of all the people, the food and the $1 beers from the pharmacy. I love it. Aside from the cheap booze and bartering the side streets are full of murals and beautiful flowering trees ... it’s a crazy mix of tourism, commercialism, nods to Frida Kahlo, colour and the seedy underbelly of Mexico’s tourist towns (drugs/cartels...the usual).
