Made Here has quickly become one of our favourite places. Not only are they providing space for local makers, they are hoping to raise $20,000 for local charities. Our friends at Made Here are looking for volunteers! Feel free to share this post or tag anyone you think may be a good fit. More information from the Made Here team below:... ------ We are looking for help in our Made Here retail store working with our Made Here for You team. Greeting customers, ringing in items, talking about our 4 children's charities and all the great locally made products. We are looking for all hours to be filled. It could be for 1 hour or 8 hours, whatever fits your schedule. There are perks as well. Discounts off printing at Print Shop by Vantage, gift certificates to local venues and more. If you are a business and would like to donate gift cert or incentives for our volunteers that would also be great! Our Goal Our community at Made Here has set an ambitious goal to raise $20,000 for local children’s charities this year. We hope to attain that goal through the incredible generosity of our makers, who have agreed to donate a portion of each sale towards supporting local charitable initiatives. Every purchase will directly help make some amazing things happen for kids here in Manitoba. The Indian holiday of Diwali is coming up - and the Hindu Society of Manitoba is hosting their annual Diwali Mela celebrations happening this Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Convention Centre! This event is free, and you can participate in cultural workshops, enjoy the entertainment and try the many food stalls. We want to commend Rainbow Stage for putting on top-notch productions while highlighting local talents - but did you know that this year they did something completely historic?
