The Museum was the location of a special ceremony this past weekend. Second World War Veteran Trp Don White was presented with a Quilt of Valour on-site. This... was a surprise to Don and we captured the presentation in this short film. Trp Don White served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons from 1943 - 1946 and is the last remaining Second War Veteran that works at the Museum. At the age of 96 Don continues to serve his community and enjoys giving youth tours here at the museum. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic; this has not been possible in 2020 and it was a pleasure to have him back in the museum and be part of this special ceremony that honoured his service. To learn more about the QUILTS OF VALOUR program check out their website: https://www.quiltsofvalour.ca/ You can support our museum and the work we do by following us, making a tax-deductable donation or visiting our online gift-shop.
