Let's Ride! We are very pleased to announce a horsemanship clinic with Mona Lewis, here in Northport NS at Creek View Farm. August 22 and 23, 2020. Mona has be...en a pillar in the horse community for many years and is a much sought after coach and trainer. Mona is the Master Evaluator for Western Coaching in Nova Scotia and is a Certified Level 2 Coach with Equine Canada. She teaches both English and Western disciplines. In one of her biggest accomplishments, she and her mare Dun Smokininhollywood, were named National Reining Horse Association Ltd Open Top Ten World Champions. If you are looking for a clinic for 2020 then you don't want to miss being part of this one. You will love Mona and her excellent approach in horsemanship. She has been there and done it. do to the COVID 19 we are cancelling the Cumberland County Horse Show. We are more concerned about the safety and well being of all and there does not appear to be a light at the end of the tunnel by June. We are considering a fall show or clinic depending on a virus-free environment. Please let us know if interested in a horse show or horsemanship clinic. Stay safe everyone!

What i am getting in feed back for the Cumberland County Horse Show in 2020 is June. I need to talk with Bruce & Judy from Creek View to see what dates in June they have open. Is there any other shows in June, I am talking fun shows that are in June? We don't want to compete with anyone's dates, therefor hoping that we will get a good crowd of horse and riders out for our fun show. Cheers Everyone! We will be adding games to the show.I

So it is with very mixed feelings that I post this. Due to lack of entries we have canceled the Cumberland County Horse Show. For those who entered and supported thank you so very much. To Bruce and Judy of Creek View Farm and Dawn Helm our Judge thank you for understanding, your kind words and support. I would just like to say to those who are thinking of competing at other shows, please don't wait to the last minute. It takes a great deal of time and effort to put on a show regardless of size. You will be thanked by the show community for your early entries. May the rest of your show season be fun and please stay safe. Cheers

I am just putting this out there for comments. It appears we have more interest in w/j/t green horse than Junior horse under saddle which requires a lope. To date we have no junior horses but several inquires on Green horse w/j/t. So we are thinking of changing the Junior horse to w/j/t only and it may be of any age, as long as it has not been shown lope. This is totally on the honor system. Feel free to comment. Cheers

Alrighty, horse people it is time to send in your entry forms and avoid the $15 late fee charge. The late fee charge comes in to effect July 20th. It is going to be a fun show and don't forget your stalls all come with shavings, no need to haul them with you. We have over 40 stalls and a great place to have a horse show, make new friends and have a good weekend.

We are looking for some volunteers to help out with the Cumberland County horse show. We need a secretary who will look after and record the show placings, you will have a show book, neatly done and in order for you from class 1 through to the last class. I think we have a gate keeper/ whipper in but need a ring steward who will assist the judge. Please feel free to share and contact me if you can help out.

So we have had inquires on Green Horse, if we get a minimum of 5 entries we will add the green horse classes to the list, this is for walk, jog/trot only and is for horse who have not yet won first or second place ribbon in horse shows. Please note that we don't have a high point blanket for this division. The Junior horse division is for horses 5 and under and dose require loping, this is a great show to move your babies on to loping in the show pen. cheers
