For those that haven't checked out the Freewheelin' Motorcycle Art Show at the Gatehouse Gallery and Coffeeeclairs in Cumberland, it's still on until August 23. The Gallery is located just past the Cumberland Brewery on Third St. Beautiful place and we've had some talented artists volunteer their motorcycle themed creations. Oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture, graphic design (like this one below by Kyle Falconer from Qualicum Beach) - even an armourer that hand hammered a gladiator helmet!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! (did I say thank you?) to all those who rode, drove, and just plain showed up despite our wet weather on Saturday. We had fun regardless and lo and behold the sun shone upon us for the Poker Run. We'll post some pics in a few days :)

It was such an honour for our committee members, Debbie and Jason, to ride the memorial bikes in today's Tom Carpenter Memorial Poker Run. From Deb - "Bowl full of memories! I just removed all the flowers from my bike. Each one had a tag with the name of someone who is no longer with us. Incredibly emotional experience doing that...... Reading every single tag and realizing that all those names rode with me today. What an honour! Hoping to preserve them in water as long as I can."
