Come out for a public fire from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and help us burn up all of the dead underbrush from the campsite! Having these fires is a great way for us to keep the campsite clean and healthy while hosting opportunities for the community to get together!

WARNING: ANIMAL DEATH We encourage Tree Swallows to nest around the lake and through the park as a form of mosquito control. Many hours have been spent researching these birds and how to design the best houses for them. Each year they return to nest, their offspring return to nest, and new families join! No matter how many houses are built they always fill up.... All of our local birds have successfully hatched out this year's eggs. Great for bug control! This photo was taken this week in one of our houses as part of our conservation measures. We are no strangers to vandalism but we have never before been so heartsick as we are today. This morning it was discovered that someone took one of our houses and threw it, along with its contents, into the lake. There is no more life within. The horrors these birds felt has our hearts broken. If you have any information about who was involved please contact the local Fish and Wildlife office at 780-835-2737.
