One drill from each of our U11, U13, and U15 sessions at VRC Elite Academy today. Drill 1: relay race - quick stick handling through cones, to tight punch turns, to weighted backwards skating to backwards stop & start, to weighted push, to hard skate back. Drill 2: Backwards/Forwards passes, pivot below cone, pass then punch turn back, catch a pass at full speed, one dangle and shot. ... A very busy and equally impressive off-season for former 2005 West Coast Selects player of mine, Luke Korte selected in the third round of both the WHL and SJHL Bantam Drafts, signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Kamloops Blazers and committed to play U18 AAA with the Saskatoon Contacts. It’s safe to say he’ll be playing high level hockey next year, and has worked hard and earned the right to do so. Congrats Luke and best of luck!
