Speaking of events, this Saturday, January 16th, there will be a Recycling Drop Off event happening from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at 901 First Street. #throwback Thursday! Nearly 8 years ago. Oh how we miss getting together like this!! Fun events are such a great way for members to get to know each other and have some fun outside of the workplace. Let's hope to be back on the field together again in the near future!

This may not have been the year we wanted, but it's the year we got and we did our best to get through it together. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We also want to recognize all of our members that are having to work through the holidays, your dedication is not going un noticed, so thank you. Stay safe, eat lots and most of all, enjoy the holidays in whatever way you have decided to celebrate.

Just a reminder, if you haven't already confirmed your child's attendance for the drive-thru Santa event, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline is Wednesday, November 18th. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late entries.

Today we honour all those that served at sacrificed for our country. Please note that the City of New Westminster is hosting a virtual remembrance day ceremony, which can be viewed on their Facebook page or their YouTube channel. Links available in the comments.

We held our first Zoom general meeting and things went well. We hope to continue in this format until otherwise noted. Please keep in mind that we are trying our best to start communicating through facebook, but that there are also other means of communication with CUPE 387 members. In each area of employment there are CUPE boards where notices and information will be posted and updated. There is also the CUPE 387 website that is current and up to date with information. If you would like to know more about how to stay in touch with the union, please feel free to reach out to one of the executives, or contact the office. www.cupe387.ca. We do have a wonderful office administrator, Lisa, who will gladly help you out. We are also always open to suggestions to help improve our communication.
