Instructor Chris Motz recently launched his own YouTube channel, The Science of Academic Success. The videos in his web series are intended to provide a practical, evidence-based guide to academic success - focusing on how to apply the science to our own schoolwork. Some topics include: how to succeed in an online course, how to effectively write multiple choice exams, and using science to study efficiently and effectively (among others!) A new stream in Mental Health and Well-being offers Psychology students in-demand training and work placements. The stream will launch this fall, with up to 30 fourth-year students already registered. It will include content in positive psychology, clinical psychology and mental health, as well as critical experiential learning outside the classroom. "With an undergraduate degree in psychology, you learn valuable skills like critical thinking, research methodologies, and stat...istics - through content that tends to be a broad survey of various sub-areas of psychology. The mental health and well-being stream will allow for more in-depth analysis, and an opportunity to gain skills that are in demand," says Dr. Joanna Pozzulo, Chair of the Department of Psychology. Read more about it at the link below. Story by Tyrone Burke, Carleton Newsroom. https://newsroom.carleton.ca/s/psychology-work-placements/
