Coldwater Curling 16.01.2021

Dear Coldwater Curling Club Members, Friends, and Guests, It is with great regret but after careful consideration, the Board of Directors of the Coldwater Curling Club has decided to close the curling club for the remainder of the season effective immediately. The decision was not taken lightly, but in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our members and staff are paramount. The events that are surrounding us are unprecedented and therefore as difficult of... a decision this was to make; we believe it is the correct one. Another email will be sent in relation to the Annual General Annual Meeting in the future. Members can pick up curling gear and personal items from the club this week Monday to Friday 11am 4 pm, and 6pm 8pm and Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week again 11am 4pm and 6pm 8pm. Otherwise please make arrangments by contacting the club. Your patience and understanding during this trying time are very much appreciated. If there are any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact the Curling Club ([email protected]). Best wishes, Coldwater Curling Club Steve Skalitzky President See more

The 5th annual WE CARE Ladies’ League Fund Raising Bonspiel will be held on March 7, 2020 at the Coldwater and District Curling Club. It is promising to be a successful event as both draws are full! This year the WE CARE Bonspiel is raising funds to support the CNIB. Our guest speaker, Laura Joyce and her seeing eye dog have graciously volunteered to attend and inform everyone of the challenges a visually impaired person faces and what we can do to help. Vision is one of the ...many things that we take for granted but for just a moment, close your eyes and imagine the things you would not longer be able to do like reading this letter. Specialized equipment can be costly, as are services. With your donation it is our hope to help improve the lives of the visually impaired. To this end, we are soliciting items for our silent auction and raffle table, as well as monetary pledges. All proceeds go directly to the CNIB, a registered charity. In return for your generous support, any donated items will be proudly displayed along with your business logo or card for one week prior to our event. This will enable everyone entering our club the ability to participate in our fundraising endeavour. Additionally, we plan to post item pictures on facebook to garner interest from not only curlers, but the general public. We sincerely hope that we can count on your support for this community event and thereby help to improve the lives of the visually impaired. With Sincere Appreciation, Kathy Vessair, Ladies’ League Rep. (C&DCC) Please make cheques payable to: CNIB Foundation The CNIB will issue tax receipts for donations of $15 or more. CNIB is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, supporters, and stakeholders. We maintain a record of your personal information for registration, tax receipting purposes and to occassionally contact you with fundraising communications. See more
