Had the pleasure of participating in the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health 2020 Virtual Symposium addressing issues to do with health care during the pandemic. The symposium brought together over 1,500 delegates from across Canada and beyond and included health researchers; senior government leaders from government, regional health authorities, hospitals; clinicians and patients; students; and industry representatives. I also had the chance to listen in on the panel discussion about the importance of working with patients and communities in health care featuring Yukon's very own Marney Paradis. It was a great discussion and thank you to CADTH for the opportunity to attend this symposium.

Copperbelt South MLA Scott Kent and I had the chance to get up to date on Yukon's forest industry with Damon Anderson and Bill Whimp. This industry has the opportunity to be a key player in the territory's economic recovery. Thanks for the tour of this bustling firewood operation, and the explanation about supply chains.

I was disappointed to read this story this morning. The poppy is a symbol of respect for the sacrifice of millions of Canadians who have served and defended our country. I will be proudly wearing my poppy this month to honour them and encourage you to do so as well. The revenues generated by poppy sales support veterans who are in need and, especially during this economic downturn, they need our help more than ever. I was pleased to visit Pat McInroy at P & M Recycling. While recycling products from North of 60 can be challenging, Pat brought to my attention some of the ways we can overcome these challenges.
