We are so incredibly heartbroken to hear that @thestaircase will be closing. The Staircase Theatre was a huge part of our company, it was our home base for the last 4 years, it was the place where most of our students and our company performed for the first time. We would like to thank Colette Kendall and the staff at The Staircase for everything they have done for us over the years, including making extra brownies for our show weekends! We truly won’t forget the moments and memories made at this amazing space and the family that we had the chance to build throughout our journey on their stages. Victoria Brylinski has been dancing and working professionally for over 20 years. She trained with the Paul Gordon Dancers in tap, jazz, ballet and modern. She has performed in a variety of professional performances, even spending some time performing in Cancun Mexico at the Royal Solaris Hotel. She is in her 12th year of teaching dance & choreographing competitively and loves every minute. Stephanie Hope Lawlor is an actor, theatre creator and teaching artist in Hamilton. She is the Artistic Director of Rook’s Theatre and head of the theatre department at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts. Some of her favourite credits include Never Not Once, The Sound of Music (Theatre Aquarius), Mary’s Wedding, Venus in Fur (Rook’s Theatre). Rebekka Gondosch is an actor and educator in Hamilton. She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin’s M.Phil. in Theatre and Performance program, has a B.A. in Dramatic Arts and English Language and Literature from Brock University, and a B.Ed. from Redeemer University. She is a member of Light Echo Theatre and Passing Through Theatre as well as a guest writer for the Hamilton Beyond James art blog! Rebekka will be running a Creative Writing Workshop which is a safe space for our LGBTQ2S+ artists. Michelle Mohammed is an actor/director that has worked on projects across the GTA. She is currently working with The Shaw Festival as a Communications Assistant and Why Not Theatre as a Production Assistant. She is in the midst of Directing a production for the Toronto and North Bay Fringe which will be performed in 2021. Michelle will be running a 2 Part character development workshop and a Directing q&a session! Carly Gordon has been performing professionally for over 15 years, she has trained in a wide variety of genres of dance and that led her to pursue musical theatre performance. She has performed on Carnival Cruise Lines for 3 years and recently worked with international dancers in the UAE and was the competitive team director & choreographer at Abu Dhabi’s largest competitive and performance studio!
