Custom Metal is looking for Production Manager Glazing Shop Custom Metal Contracting Ltd. is family owned and operated company located in Calgary, Alberta. Our growing glazing division services Canada and United States and we need a project manager to take over the shop production. This is a permanent full time position.... We care about our staff, customers and suppliers and we are passionate about providing high quality service. Requirements Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a commercial glazing project manager or as a construction project manager, and will provide excellent service to customers and contribute to our team environment. Qualifications include: Knowledge of commercial glazing Project management experience Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with Architects, General Contractors, Suppliers and Employees. Proficiency in reading blue prints and shop drawings is a must Hard working, self-motivated and a team player Organized and detail oriented. Specific Duties Manage jobs from start to finish. Plan and execute the projects scope of work Develop and maintain project schedules Ensure all work is done with quality and in accordance with contract requirements Track price changes in the scope of work and prepare change orders Track all costs associated with the projects Investigate and resolve disputes, defects and charge backs Schedule material procurement Maintain and develop supplier relationships Review all contracts, specifications, addenda, drawings, samples and correspondence Perform other duties as required Qualifications and Skills Must have a minimum Five (5) years of project management experience in the glazing industry Be proficient in Microsoft Excel Benefits include Medical & dental coverage and a great work environment Compensation depending upon competence and experience.
