!THANKS! Grande Prairie Regional Kennel Club for putting on a Fantastic Canine Fitness Workshop The workshop was taught by the wonderful Kim Cumming. Kim is an RVT at @bearcreekac and is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her for any canine injury, decline in mobility, physical health concerns etc... We learned about warm ups, stretches and cool downs. All excellent preventative measures when it comes to active, aging and long dogs. Soda was a very good boy! The stretches, activity and environment tired my high energy boy out. The dogs move slowly to get the best results so the activity was a mental workout as much as physical. Cat got your tongue? I'm sorry I have been MIA posting. With rememberence day on Wednesday, I took the day to reflect. Thursday, was a great day with great dogs, I just could not find the words/energy to post. Friday, my husband @mandrewrogers and I enjoyed a rare day off together!... Here we are Saturday - another eventful day. After a morning walk with our 4 dogs, Drew and I came home to complete cat care.... Our foster cat Mrs. Blais came to us on Monday. She was a stray, suspected of being pregnant. I am hopeful, Mrs. Blais will not be adding to our communities ever growing cat population We discovered she actually had a belly full of worms Mrs. Blais is being treated and will up for adoption once she has a clean bill of health. She is a great cat ~ minus her worms which are on their way out . Fostering is not always pretty. ! It snowed! And COVID-19 is still here... COVID Fatigue. Have you heard this term? I heard it for the first time today. It is so accurate for how I am feeling.... I want to take a minute to reiterate precautionary measures I am taking. 1) hand sanitizing before and after each home. 2) limiting the number of homes visited daily. 3) physical distancing. IF clients are home PLEASE maintain appropriate distances. IF distancing may not be possible in an indoor space - a mask will be worn. 4) overnight care precautions are also being taken and discussed with those clients upon booking. *I am also, as always practicing good hygiene by washing my hands and not touching my face. Do you have a cold or flu??? Covid or not, PLEASE tell me! I am doing everything I can to avoid getting sick ~ .
