Lindsay & Maria from 100 Women Who Care Toronto paid a friendly visit to us this morning to see what our Conductive Education (CE) classes are all about. They ...are part of the amazing 100 Women Who Care Toronto nonprofit that raises $ for local charities in just 4 hours over the course of a year. Thanks to Mary Jo, a parent of one of our CE child participants for bringing awareness to our charity - 100 Women Who Care Toronto raised $3,400 that will go to our CE Classes, helping children and adults with a mobility disability, regain the skills for their individual independence. Massive hugs and thank you to this wonderful organization! 100 Women Who Care Toronto East See more

To Mobility Users, Families, and Caregivers: Judging by the flood of telephone calls we are receiving, it is apparent news is spreading quickly that Shoppers is exiting the wheelchair business. While some of the wheelchair assets are being sold, others will be wound down. Clients and therapists are expressing concern regarding the status of wheelchair orders and repairs primarily due to the added news of the dismissal of those employees in the wheelchair component of Shop...pers rehab business. Shoppers however, assures that they intend to provide continued service and support until such time that their Wheelchair business is defunct. In light the concerns expressed to us, this communication is to advise of additional options: 1. Custom Mobility is able to provide service to most brands of mobility equipment regardless where the equipment was originally purchased. 2. For anyone who is awaiting the delivery of mobility equipment purchased via the Assistive Devices Program has the right to change their chosen vendor. Ensuring that proper sales and service will be available during the lifetime of your new equipment. 3. For those who have wheelchairs through the Central Equipment Pool, no announcement has been made by Shoppers or the Ministry of Health regarding any changes. These clients accordingly must continue to seek sales and service through the C.E.P. program. Custom Mobility is a healthcare equipment provider who can assist with a wide variety of needs that include, but is not limited to: Mobility Adult & Pediatric Manual & Power Wheelchairs, Scooters and walkers Lift Division Floor & Ceiling patient lifts, porch lifts, incline lifts, and elevators, plus annual inspection and certifications Accessibility Modifications Accessible showers, bathroom modifications, ramps, door widening Support Equipment Hospital beds, lift chairs, incontinence Supplies
