Hey everybody! In Kelowna we have been very fortunate to have had very little change in price and even seen an increase in the average price of single-family homes, despite a global pandemic. A lot of people I've spoken to recently have been surprised when I tell them the stats, so I figured I would share a quick illustration of why we haven't seen prices dropping. This graph represents new listings (green) and sales (blue) of single-family homes in Kelowna. As you can see, a...lthough there was a significant drop in demand when the pandemic hit, there was an almost identical drop in supply. The housing market is like any other market in that price is ultimately dictated by supply and demand. Another item to note from this graph, both supply and demand are on the way up!
