Today I became a wine club member at Martin’s Lane Winery. Had the chance to speak with the winemaker and his passion was evident in the wines I tasted. It was my second time visiting this winery and with each visit and with each sip I become more enchanted. Highly recommend visiting and putting these wines in your collection.

Wine is my passion and if I’m not helping people with their wine cellars or hosting tastings, I’m studying or researching wines. I’m working on the Bordeaux Master course and tonight’s topic is the History of Bordeaux, it truly is a fascinating region.

These beautiful Champagne bottles are from Bruno Paillard in Reims, France. This independent, family run Champagne house selects their grapes from 35 of the 320 crus of Champagne. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier comprise this flagship blend. Trying to use this lockdown time wisely so I am reading and tasting about one of my favorite regions, Bordeaux. My cellar definitely has a lot of French wine and I am particularly excited about the 2015 futures I purchased and have cellared . Armand de Brignac Champagne also known as Ace of Spades is the tête de cuvée of Champagne Cattier. It’s a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier and is a multi-vintage Champagne. This special bottle found a new home today and will be resting in my cellar. @armanddebrignac #winecellar #champagne
