Great news everyone! For those of you who love our local forests, you will soon be able to view the International Paddling Film Festival. Tickets are reasonably... priced and 100% of proceeds go to the Cumberland Community Forest Society and Project Watershed. Tickets go on sale soon. The Fest will be virtual so you will be able to watch anytime from anywhere. Please spread the word and let's raise as much as we can for these groups while having a great night at home. The event page is https://www.facebook.com/Comox-Valley-Paddling-Film-Festival-353838482138154

We just received a cheque from 40 Knots in the amount of $1,572. This represents a $2 per bottle on the (previous year’s) sales of Safe Haven and will be used to support our environmental initiatives. Thank you! 40 Knots Winery has been a great supporter of our environmental restoration and we are grateful for their support. Whenever you are thinking of good wine, please think of 40 Knots
Phew, our bookkeeper and administrative assistant have been busy processing all the donations, auction payments, and raffle tickets. Thank you everyone, we rais...ed $56,965.50 which was matched to make $113,931 for the protection and restoration of Kus-kus-sum. Donations will continue to be matched all the way to Christmas! Please note we are getting out tax receipts and sponsorship receipts as fast as we can, however, we can only send 10 at at time so it make take a week or so til we have them all sent. See more
