British Columbia Conference -Virtual Camp Meeting 2020 Due to the Coronavirus The Coronavirus health crisis is affecting all conferences across the nation, con...tinent, and, indeed, the world. Your prayers are needed as we navigate the future together. Most events have been cancelled. As you have likely heard by now, the BC Camp Meeting 2020 has also been cancelled. However, plans are being formulated to have a shorter Virtual Camp Meeting. It will be held for three or four days including a Thursday, Friday and Sabbath, ending Saturday evening, centering on one of the July weekends when BC Camp Meeting would ordinarily be held. Keep watching communications from the BC Conference for the exact dates and more details. Due to the economic fallout from the Coronavirus crisis the Board of Directors voted to place a temporary freeze on hiring new pastors in the BC Conference until further notice. The BC Conference is doing all it can to reduce expenses wherever possible, and solicits your prayers that our Lord will guide all decisions. We are encouraged by Jesus’ promise in Matthew 6:33-34: Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. When we put God first, our courage can remain strong. Ern Brake VP for Administration/ Executive Secretary BC Conference
