As with everything that we do at CVYS, the Art Show was inspired by the amazing youth and their artistic expression, and wanting to celebrate and honour their talents. We are so grateful to The Hub at Cowichan Station and all our amazing volunteers and staff for making this event happen in a way that allowed the youth to gather safely and feel engaged. We had 24 youth from the Cowichan Valley participate and share their creative talents with the community! We have so many inspiring and amazing youth in our community, and based on the response from the Art Show we will certainly be hosting more youth art shows in the future. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our inspirational Cowichan Valley youth, and a huge thank you to the amazing artists and musicians for sharing their creativity and inspiring this event

Dearest Cowichan Valley Graduates of 2020, We know you are probably so over hearing what a wild ride and roller-coaster finish to your year this has been, who better to know that than you! Right?! For real though...You are so fierce and courageous to persevere, and not even a global pandemic can take away from this AMAZING accomplishment of yours, we are so proud of you! CONGRATULATIONS to each of you! ... We have had the honour and privilege of walking alongside many of you on this part of your life path, and can we just say, thank you for being you! You did it! You made it! What?! Let us say it again, you made it through high school!!! For some this may be a relief, and for some this may be a time for grieving, or perhaps it’s a bit of both, or something else entirely. Whatever is coming up for you, please know that what you are feeling is so valid. We hope you are taking moments to tend to you heart, and giving yourself space to feel proud of what you have accomplished. The world is lucky to have people like you, the way you see the world, and each of your own unique identities and special gifts offers so much! We hope that whatever lies ahead for you brings you joy and adventure, and wherever this path takes you next, may it take you somewhere that you feel seen and celebrated for the incredible, resilient, creative and wise humans that you are. Know that you are respected and cared about, and that CVYS will always have your back. Congratulations again! With love and appreciation, All of us at CVYS
