There are so many benefits to an RESP account for your children! 1. Government grants and bonds to add a boost to your child’s education savings. If you contribute $2500 each year, they will contribute $500 or more depending on your income! 2. Save as you want. You get to decide how much money you contribute and how you want to invest your funds. ... 3. Taxes are deferred. Your earnings are accumulated tax free until your child needs to withdraw the funds for school. #respaccount #yourkidsfuture #girlnextdoorfinancialadvisor

It’s recovery time. The holiday season is not always the nicest to our bank accounts. You want to spend and shower your loved one with gifts which then in turn ends up leaving you in financial uncertainty. A few actions you can do to get you back on track right now are: ... 1. Make an expense spreadsheet and see the total amount of money you spent over the holidays or use an app like Clarity Monkey that helps you determine wasteful spending from useful spending. 2. Determine how you can cut costs this month to help you save. Ex: Don’t eat out this month, or buy groceries that are only on sale. 3. Leverage side business opportunities. For example, put out your resume on sites like Upwork, peopleperhour and fiverr to gain new clients to help you with an extra source of income temporarily. 4. Save money on gas or public transportation payments by walking or biking to your destinations. This will help you also increase your exercise you might have put on the back burner over the holidays or quarantine. #holidayseasonrecovery #girlnextdoorfinancialadvisor #savemoney
