Hi Friends of Chuck Weeks and CWG Footcare. Just an update of how we will run the CWG clinic for the next few weeks. First, i would like to thank everyone who has and will use our services. I have been forced to lay off our Office Manager Lauren and our Orthotics Technician Craig. They is heartbreaking for me but with your help and a lot of luck, I hope to sneak CWG Footcare down a long, thin corridor and hopefully stay in business. Whether we do, or do not survive as a small... business, rest assured that the only thing that truly counts is your health. Please keep yourself and your loved ones safe, take and follow the rules very seriously as what se do this minute can affect someones life, whether we will ever be aware of it or not. Please priortize not spreading this virus at least, if not more, than avoiding it yourself. So for now, we will be listening to all messages and getting back to you within 1-2 days and I will book appointment times for you, with no overlap of patients in a very safe and fastidiously clean environment, masks and distance will be more than we need as we finally get down to taking care of your feet! So take this time in this unfortunate piece of history to get out, walk and exercise, maybe get sore enough to come in and see me and help CWG stop limping. What is Patellofemoral Syndrome Pain? Patellofemoral Syndrome Pain in and around the patella (kneecap). Often referred to as P.F.S., called a syndrome because there is usually more than one factor producing the symptoms. Feet that hyperpronate, (the arches flatten out excessively) are often the cause of part or all the malalignment that produces the symptoms. At CWG, we help you put your "best foot forward" in different ways. Recently, for example, our talented lab technician modified a pair of Mary Jane style shoes with a 3/4" external lift. The client was thrilled because, up until now, she hasnt been able to wear a dress style shoe because of her leg length difference. Everyone was wearing big smiles when she walked out happy. what a great feeling!

CWG Footcare will be closed for the Easter Weekend as of Friday, April 19 and returning Tuesday, April 23rd with our regular schedule. We hope you all have a relaxing weekend! If you have kids or grandkids receiving Easter goodies, you should post pictures in the comments for us to enjoy!

Wednesdays are lab days at CWG. We dont book patient appointments on Wednesdays because its an all hands on deck day for orthotic creation, repairs and adjustments amongst a variety of other jobs. When making custom orthotics/braces, CWG uses several casting methods; laser-guided/digital camera, hand casting using plaster and or making a foam box impression from which we make plaster casts. Today, we are busy making plaster molds from foam boxes and Office Manager Tammy is pitching in and getting her hands dirty!

Weve been good boys and girls at CWG keeping our patients pain free and now we get to celebrate by enjoying the Christmas season! We will be closed on the 24th, 25th and 26th of December. We return the afternoon of the 27th and on the 28th and 31st, we are only seeing patients from 9 am to 12 pm and then we are off again to celebrate New Years! We will be back to a regular schedule as of Wednesday, January 2nd.
