This morning, we received a long-anticipated text... the last load of stone dust has been dropped on the G2G Rail Trail Experience today just outside of Blyth! ...That means, the entire trail, from Guelph to Goderich, now consists of compact stone dust; a thrill for all cyclists, hikers, walkers, whoever you may be :) Please consider donating in support of this massive project https://g2gtrail.donorengine.com/donations/donate. It took 4 months +++, loads of coordination, a fleet of manpower, supporters, and DEDICATION but it was all worth it in the end :) The trail is looking truly spectacular! Thank you to EVERYONE who has played such an important role in making this vision a reality! Today we congratulate you Doug Cerson Project RED G2G Rail Trail Andy Heal Tyler Blanchard Matthew Stanfel @chris pastrana Chloe Klopp Chris Lee @len jewitt @joel phelan @doug ellacot @Moore Family @VOLUNTEERS @annie sparling (we apologies if we left out some names, there are so many moving parts on this project!) Just north of Toronto is Holland Marsh, a 7000 acre area of farmland. It is almost entirely flat and with it's long straight roads is ideal for time trialling. There is more to this area than that though and I hope this video shows why it's one of my favourite places to ride.
This summers Project RED resurfacing and waypoint improvement project would not have been possible without the financial support we have received from the Ontar...io Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Minister Thompson joined us yesterday in Huron County to reveal the news and all attendees were very appreciative of the support she and the other government officials have shown our team! Thank you Minister Thompson for joining us :) See more
