Good Evening Everyone! I have been receiving a lot of messages and calls in regards to when I will be opening up. As you can imagine with the sudden update with phase 2 opening up sooner than expected has left me in a bit of a daze. I am waiting for just one more package with needed supplies before I can open again. In the mean time here is what you can expect at your next visit; -At this time I am unable to accept new clients unless they are in the same household as pre-exi...sting clients. - For now, all appointments will be booked over the phone or by text. I will be working as fast as I can to re-schedule clients who had appointments cancelled due to the closure. Once I have made it through the lists I will bring back the online booking option. Thank you for your patience! -I will be emailing you a form that MUST be filled out and returned 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to screen you and any one in the home for COVID-19 symptoms. -When I arrive for your appointment I will also have a pre-screening disclosure for myself/household for you to sign if you wish to proceed with your appointment. -Please cancel your appointment if you or anyone in the home does not feel well, if you have any fever, a new or changed chronic cough, a sore throat that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition, a runny nose that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition, any nasal congestion that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition, shortness of breath that is not related to a known or pre-existing condition and if you have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or if you have traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days. if I arrive to a home with sickness please note that I will not be able to provide any treatments. -mask are required for both myself and any anyone that is not able to maintain social distancing. Example anyone receiving a treatment. If you do not have a mask I will provide you with one. -The provided hand sanitizer must be used before and after the appointment, and/or before using and removing of masks. Sense the recent announcement from the Alberta government I have been wanting to write to you all, and keep you as updated as possible. However, it seems like every day to every few days things are being changed or updated. So as of right now this is the information I can share with you and please note that it can literally change at any moment. As of right now Massage Therapy is in the 2nd phase of businesses to reopen, and the projected date for opening is June 19 2020 at the earliest depending on how phase 1 goes. When things do reopen it will not be like it was before. There have been many safety precautions and measures that will be mandated to help prevent the transmission of this virus. Some of the changes to be expected are: - There will be NO ONLINE BOOKING. Only phone, text, or email appointment requests as there is a mandatory pre-screening that must occur before every appointment is booked. -New consent and release forms along with screening practices at every appointment (more information to come) -There will be required personal protective equipment (PPE) that I am required to wear, and I will have masks available for those of you who would like them for the duration of the appointment. -There will also be mandatory sanitation protocols that will be implemented and enforced. (more information to come) At this time I please ask for your patience and understanding. These are strange and trying times for all of us. And these requirements are placed on me by the government and my Massage association. Any violation of these practices jeopardizes my ability to practice in the future, the safety of every home I enter, and my family. As such there will be no special treatment given or any leeway. If you choose not to accept these new practices please note that you will not receive your treatment. I will do my best to work with you to make this situation as comfortable for you as possible, but it will have to be within the standards I must maintain. !!Announcement!! Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 virus, and the nature of my work I will be waiving any last minute cancellation fees due to illnesses. I do not want anyone who is feeling under the weather to feel pressured into keeping any appointments for fear of a cancellation fee. Just this last Monday & Tuesday I completed this 1 of 3 Massage course. I am looking for clients that would be comfortable with me practicing this new technique on them. All I need is 15-20mins of your time after your appointment to allow me to fine tune these new skills and get feedback. The new rates starting as of January 1st will be as follows: $75- 45 minute $95- 60 minute $110- 75 minutes $125- 90 minutes Plus the usual $0.50/km travel fee. Looks like winter is upon us! While I am committed to meet you needs and to continue your care in the cold season I would like to remind you that safety is always top priority. Should the road conditions be deemed dangerous or unsafe I will call and inform you that we will need to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. I am sad to announce that June 30th will be the last that I am able to accept chip debit payments. I received an email from the company that I have been using for my mobile payments and they are going out of business. I am looking at other mobile payment options but they only accept interac FLASH at a max $100.
