Cyrk-on-Young-ulites! come hear Nicholas Geddert and Joe Ackerman discuss green building! the speakers will talk about radical examples and reasonable alternatives on February 23 at 7 at the Cyrk at 254 Young Street!! "Exploring the developments of materials and manufacturing technology, it is evident that new and more effective methods of structural production are becoming available and affordable, as well as more articulate and effective. This talk will look at some of the recent trends and methods of production and how this informs and effects a new ecological production methodology. We will look at what is possible under these new terms and ask what kind of future infrastructure we can build for our individual and collective futures." https://www.facebook.com/events/392065067812057/?notif_t=plan_user_joined¬if_id=1486309015779642
dear Cyrk-Young-ulites, members of the Winnipeg dance community, and interested members of the public, Cyrk Young is hosting the Young Lung Dance Exchange Research Series Endnote on January 15! join us! "Since November three research teams have been each working in the studio investigating themes, methods, ideas, questions, approaches related to dance, movement and performance. YLDE is excited to invite the public into their work. You can take in the research via classes, sh...owings, and an endnote discussion and essay presentation. Jillian Groening and Leif Norman, have been closely following the work of the researchers in this series which has given rise to their own work: an essay each (one written, one visual). During the endnote they will present their essays and share what they have discerned from the process. This event is free and open to all." https://www.facebook.com/events/1021517831328082/?notif_t=plan_user_invited¬if_id=1483473116974770

At 7 p.m. on November 16 at Cyrk Young, come talk with Dave Nickarz about the state of wild salmon off the BC coast and watch the film *Salmon Confidential*. Dave will discuss his experiences sailing with the Sea Shepherds and independent scientist Alexandra Morton this past summer. The goal of this voyage was to expose the government's dereliction of their duty to protect wild salmon. This is a no-cost event. https://www.facebook.com/events/1798408273732963/
