Big thank you to brass craft for sharing the Sunday spotlight with us last week! I think it’s a great way to both support this trade and to shed a bit of light onto the plumbers of this community. It’s great to put a face to the social media platform sometimes so everyone can get to know you on a more personal level and keep our trades community growing strong. -Adrian Da Costa #Repost @brasscraft ... @dacostaplumbing Years in the trade: 11 BrassCraft products used: water & gas supplies, fittings His father, a welder, encouraged him to learn a trade. Once his high school started offering a plumbing start up program, he was hooked. It was a no brainer. It was the perfect way to get introduced into the plumbing trade. Getting hands on experience using the different piping tools and equipment, cemented his decision. "I love being able to help people maintain the health, sanitation & comfort of their home. It has been a very rewarding career path." "I use BrassCraft angle stops for my jobs. It’s easy to have confidence in a product that has the reputation of lasting the test of time. Quality of a product is a big thing when I choose what I am installing into people's homes. If I were in my clients shoes, I would want to know that what is being put in will last and function as it should." #SundaySpotlight #PlumbersAreEssential #BrassCraft #dacostaplumbing #plumbers #plumbing #plombier #plomberie #plumbtheworld

Hub/socket savers can be life savers! What’s a hub saver? It allows you to clean out the old pipe & glue from a fitting so the fitting can be reused. This instance was more convenience than anything as I forgot to restock my solid p-traps. Saved me the trip to supplier and back. Saves time, saves money. ... For those looking into buying one, these @reedpipetools clean ream extreme pipe fitting reamers are the best on the market IMO. I have tried other brands. They don’t compare. Hope this helps! #dacostaplumbing #plumbing #plumber #plumbingtools #plumberstools #reedpipetools See more

Time flies! It has been exactly two years to the day I went to the first service call of Da Costa Plumbing & Heating Ltd. I am very grateful to be where I am today and I know I wouldn’t have been able to do it alone. Behind the scenes my amazing wife has always encouraged me to stay positive and reach for my goals. She is also an amazing help running the business from the office while I tend to clients. I am still learning every day how to perfect my craft and do better. The learning never stops. I am also very thankful to the amazing plumbers and friends I’ve made here directly through IG. You all know who you are! And most importantly thank you to all our amazing clients for trusting and supporting a local family owned business! #dacostaplumbing #plumber #plumbing #vancouverplumber #riseandgrind #plumbinglife #thankful

Back for some finishing at a Reno we started few weeks ago. I would have preferred to have the garb on the right sink but the client gets what they want!Plan ahead to keep the waterlines and drain tucked nicely aside so the pull out faucet hose doesn’t get caught on anything. #dacostaplumbing #plumber #plumbing #sink #kitchensink #pipes #prettypipe #vancouverplumber

Heating & domestic waterlines. Was happy when the client decided to drop the ceiling in this hallway so I didn’t have to drill through all those joists! #dacostaplumbing #smallvictories #neatandtidy #prettypipe #piping #plumbing #plumber #heating #vancouverplumber #homeimprovement #renovation

This laundry stand pipe was concealed behind a dishwasher in a basement suite. The kitchen drain backed up and overflowed from the standpipe. This was definitely a DIY special, the standpipe was piped into the Line clean out for the kitchen sink...Removed the standpipe as it wasn’t being used anymore, installed a proper clean out cap and new clean out wye for that easy access to snake those drains while flushing debris down with flowing water! #dacostaplumbing #draincleaningservice #draingang #drain #ridgid #flexshaft

Always double check with your local inspectors...Came to find out this one area in particular does not approve system 15 & XFR DWV transitions if the existing Copper/cast penetrates a fire stop structure. Yes it’s a bit of a silly stipulation but for now it’s in the Building code so there isn’t much we could argue. Living & learning as always! #dacostaplumbing #dwv #plumbing #plumber #vancouver #coquitlam #vancouverplumber #roughin #drainage #pipe

Replaced this old cast building storm back water valve. The old was seized closed & obstructing flow of the sump outlet. We hydro-jetted out dirt and debris to clear the draintile clay pipes and got the floor drains that had backed up on our last rain fall flowing well again. Old buildings & homes in Vancouver tend to have these concrete perimeter drain collection pits located in the basements. Not the best idea as they can be covered by flooring and often forgotten about un...til it causes you a flood. If you need help with your drainage system give us a call today! We’d be glad to help! #dacostaplumbing #plumber #vancouver #vancouverplumber #canadianplumber #plumbing #drains #drainage #pipes #backwatervalve @ Vancouver, British Columbia
